Thanksgiving 2008 & Larkin's 1/2 Birthday

Despite all of us being a bit under the weather, we had a wonderful day celebrating Thanksgiving and Larkin's 1/2 Birthday together. Our Thanksgiving feast included turkey and gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoe casserole, corn casserole, peas, cranberry sauce, crescent rolls, etc. It was yummy, and we were especially excited that we timed it so that it was all ready at the same time!

The weather was great for this time of the year (mid-50's), so we went to the neighborhood elementary school playground so we could let Sera run around. Check out the adorable video of her chasing after a frisbee that she found!

We decided that it was time to start Larkin on real Stage 1 foods and so today we started her on sweet potatoes, which seemed appropriate given that it's Thanksgiving Day! I wouldn't say she loved it, but she did pretty well! Check out the video of her first bites below.

Grandpa Bud is here visiting and Larkin is completely smitten with him. He feeds her, cuddles with her and she trusts him completely. For a couple of days earlier this week, while Brian and I were at work, Grandpa Bud even took on the role of "Nanny Bud" and they did wonderfully together! Check out the video that we took this evening of the two of them laughing together - it's so great!
